She worked day and night and established the Experimental Biology Laboratory and Tissue Culture Laboratory in Bombay.

After a doctorate in cytology, Dr. Kamal Ranadive worked at the Indian Cancer Research Center (ICRC). Between 1966 to 1970, she got the title of the Director of the Indian Cancer Research Centre.
