Clematis Street & Downtown West Palm Beach

The historic core of Downtown West Palm Beach is Clematis Street. Starting on the Intracoastal Waterway at Flagler Drive, walk west to take in the local character of the area’s colorful stores, nightclubs, live music, restaurants, and historical buildings. Clematis By Night, a popular event that combines live music by the area’s greatest bands, food and drink specials, and an unrivaled social scene, takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays.

Rosemary Square: Endless Entertainment in “The Square”

Rosemary Square (also known as “The Square” by locals) is a vibrant Mediterranean-themed shopping and entertainment hub where visitors can spend the entire day and night without seeing everything there is to see and do.

This revitalized downtown area, which is one of the best things to do in South Florida, offers a range of great shopping, dining, entertainment, and live music experiences. It’s also a terrific location to sit and watch a never-ending parade of people pass by (and yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout).

You can browse for clothes, jewelry, and gifts; eat international cuisine ranging from Tuscan to Mexican, Southwestern US, or Japanese cuisine; or create your lunch or dinner at one of the gourmet marketplaces. Ice cream, frozen yogurt, or a melt-in-your-mouth chocolate treat should be served after your meal.

Norton Museum of Art

The Norton Museum of Art, founded in 1941 by Ralph Hubbard Norton and Elizabeth Norton, is known around the world for its distinguished collection, which includes world-class Chinese jade and bronze artefacts as well as masterpieces of 19th and 20th-century paintings and sculptures by European and American artists. On the grounds of the Museum, masks are needed (except while actively eating or drinking in the Restaurant, the Great Hall, or visiting the Garden).

Listen to Big Cats Roar at Panther Ridge Conservation Center

You’re only a few miles from West Palm Beach, but it feels like you’re in the middle of Africa. Some of the world’s big cats roam freely in wide, open areas that resemble portions of Africa at Panther Ridge Conservation Center.

Panther Ridge, which is currently maintained by Judy Berens, began in the 1990s when people began sending her large cats that they no longer wanted or could care for. She soon found herself caring for several large cats, so she began looking for land on which she could establish a sanctuary for injured or endangered animals and bring them back to health.

Today, Panther Ridge is home to tigers, rare black panthers, jaguars, mountain lions, cheetahs, and smaller cats like ocelots, which you can watch Judy enter and cuddle with. A fun twilight tour, a keeper experience, and a thrilling opportunity to engage with one of the park’s elusive leopards are all available as guided tours also check how to get Ticket from Allegiant Flight.
