The Reason I Haven’t Reposted Your Carpet Hotline Bling Meme Yet In the

Professional carpet cleaning As I am sure you know. There is a song called Hotline Bling. It’s by Drake. Which is a Canadian rapper who sometimes wears sweaters with pictures of owls on them. This song is special because I hate it and I haven’t posted it anywhere. Not even to this Twitter account that I only use to post memes. However. The other day someone sent me a meme about carpet and it made me realize that I’m still holding this grudge against this song.

I don’t often call out people’s carpet hotline memes. I want to take the high road and focus on quality, but there is something about this meme that attracts me. Maybe it’s because I’ve been thinking about really expensive carpets lately or maybe it’s because Drake was here. But I think this meme is worth talking about.

Hey. I’ve totally been meaning to post your meme. But I couldn’t get the HTML right because that would mean double-coding and I’m not sure if this is a thing people do anymore. That’s when the real problem started: I didn’t want to be the one guy who got fired for showing a YouTube video on his desktop but starting up an actual YouTube video again was just too much of a hassle.

I’ve been meaning to find the time to come back and re-show you my appreciation for your comment. The fact of the matter is. I have a lot of long haired friends with sweet dance moves on their phones and sometimes I get distracted. It’s obviously not your fault. I’ve been very responsible in my duties as a blogger. But life doesn’t always turn out the way we hope.

I Have Not Reposted Your Carpet Hotline Bling Meme and There’s A Reason

I’m going to get some things off my chest before we continue. I’m tired of hearing about the good ol’ days when we all just got along. When we all shared resources and helped one another. That was then. And this is now. The world has changed. We are no longer in school playgrounds where you can trust everyone around you; we’re in the real world where people will stab you in the back at any given moment if it means they can better themselves. I have not reposted your carpet hotline bling meme yet in the last week and there’s a reason for that.

When you post something on social media. You are. In effect. Asking to be shared. And whether it’s Twitter. Facebook or Instagram. There’s no way for me to know that you want me to share your work until I actually see it. I have not reposted your Carpet Hotline Bling meme yet and there’s a reason for that.

It’s not because I don’t think it’s funny. I do. It’s because it has been posted so many times that it feels like it has lost its meaning. It’s no longer relevant or timely. Which is what makes memes so great in the first place. But this isn’t just about me not wanting to post your meme — it’s about all of us thinking before we share something online.

Why I Won’t Repost Your Unfunny Carpet Hotline Bling Meme

The internet is a confusing, contradictory place. One minute you’re looking at memes about carpet cleaning. And the next minute you’re watching an adorable cat video. And then you click on an article about how cats are actually plotting to kill us all.

Here’s the thing: It’s not funny. It’s not even close to being funny. The only reason anyone thought it was funny when it first came out was because they were all still high from Thanksgiving dinner and then they saw the words “carpet hotline bling” together in one place and their brains just melted from the overload of cuteness.

First of all. There’s no such thing as a bad idea. Which means that every idea has the potential to be funny. This is why we have fail videos on YouTube — if something goes wrong when you’re filming something. It’s funny! Similarly. If someone makes an attempt at humor and fails miserably. We can laugh at them for trying and failing.

I know it can be hard being a content creator online. Especially when you’re trying to make a living from it. But you have to understand that there’s no such thing as “the Internet” or even “the social-media space.” There are people who live on the Internet and people who use the Internet and some who do both or neither but still think they’re part of something larger than themselves. There are people who share common interests and form communities around those interests. There are also people who just like having a place where they can watch videos of cats without anyone telling them they’re wrong for doing so. But none of these groups are homogeneous or monolithic. Which means there’s no such thing as one person’s idea of what ‘Internet culture’ ought to be like — especially when your idea is based on things like viral memes

Why the Carpet Hotline Bling Meme Will Not Be Reposted Here

Carpet Hotline Bling is a meme that has been circulating on Facebook for the past week. The meme features the artist Drake dancing in a room full of money to his song Hotline Bling.

I have not reposted this meme yet because I don’t think it’s funny. In fact. It’s kind of annoying.

The reason why I’m not posting this meme here is because there’s just too much of it out there already. People keep sharing this photo with different captions but they always seem to be saying the same thing: “I love Drake” or “This is what happens when you’re rich.”

The only funny thing about this meme is that Drake looks like he’s having a good time dancing in his pile of money. But if you ask me. He looks more like he’s trying to get away from it all than enjoying himself

As a responsible and professional internet citizen. I take great pride in my reputation for being an unfailingly kind. Generous and considerate person. However. This does not mean that I will repost every meme that comes my way.

I’ve seen the Carpet Hotline Bling meme floating around and it’s pretty funny. But I have no intention of reposting it here. I’m not trying to be a jerk. I just want to explain my reasoning.

Carpet Hotline Bling is a parody of the viral sensation Drake Hotline Bling music video. The song is about Drake’s ex-girlfriend calling him while he’s out with his friends and looking really cool. The parody involves Drake being called by a woman who wants to know if her carpet is dry yet. Which makes Drake look ridiculous because he’s dancing in an expensive club while wearing a bathrobe.

The joke is that Drake is acting like he cares about his girlfriend when really he’s just worried about his carpet cleaning service finishing up so that he can get back home and watch TV in his underwear.
