About Pondicherry university

Pondicherry University is a Central University aware in 1985 under the Pondicherry University Act, 1985. It is credited “A Grade” by NAAC and also affiliated by UGC. The University has joined over 90 colleges extended over the Union territories of Pondicherry, Lakshadweep and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Pondicherry University is the best rising university in India due to its huge growth in all sides. The Pondicherry University provide the free education and hostel to all physically challenged students. The University has a disabled-friendly infrastructure and a common library for students who are visually challenged. University offers many distance courses for students and working professionals.  In the academic year 1995-96, the Pondicherry University opened its distance Education program. The main motive was to give an opportunity to students who are not able to enroll for normal on-campus education, due to lack of time or financial status. Directorate of Distance Education of Pondicherry University is accepted by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB). As per the university’s record, more than 2, 50,000 students have joined in distance Education program over the years.

The candidates who is applying for the distance MBA program provided by Pondicherry University must  have passed and hold degree under 10+2+3. For UG students must passed 10+2 from any of the recognized board.

Pondicherry University Distance Learning Admission Procedure

The last date of Pondicherry University Admission 2022 is 18 June 2022. The admission process for sessions 2022-23, will be based on CUET 2022 entrance exam

The University permits admission to its Distance Education programs via Online and Offline mode. The Students willing to apply to any of the above-mentioned Distance Courses can apply Online on the official Pondicherry University website.

The University conducts admission twice a year i.e. Calendar year: January- February, Academic year: July- August.

Candidates can also receive the application form and Information Catalogue from the DDE Office, Pondicherry University without any fees.

Documents required for admission:

• 10th Mark Sheet & certificate
• 12th Mark Sheet
• Degree/ Provisional Certificate/Consolidated Mark Sheet of Degree.

Note: Original Certificate will be returned immediately through speed post by the DDE after verification. If Original documents are not received within a month from the date of admission student may write their problem to the DDE. Transfer/ Migration Certificates are not to be submitted.

• Demand Draft: For candidates applying for the Distance Education program has to submit the application form to DDE Office, Pondicherry along with above-listed Documents and Demand Draft of the amount specified in Fee structure.
• The Demand draft has to be drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, Pondicherry University, Puducherry”, payable at Puducherry.
