The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the assessing authority, professional association, or group representing Australia’s ICT sector. ACS delivers authoritative, independent knowledge and technological intuitions, and technical capacity and capability to drive Australian innovation and accelerate technology adoption for business, government, and society. ACS assesses potential ICT professionals on behalf of the Australian government, ensuring that they fulfil the relevant assessing authority requirements required for employment in a nominated field in Australia.

ICT skills occupations that need to be classified in the eligible skilled professions are also evaluated by ACS (MSLT). By regulation, the ACS is governed by the Minister of Immigration and Border Protection. The Regulations give the ACS the authority to determine, at its discretion, the standards by which a person’s skills are evaluated as fit for the nominated profession.

ACS Skills Assessment Guidelines for Applicants

The ACS guidelines outline the qualifying criteria and conditions for participating in a skills assessment program. However, they do not give any information about migration or visa requirements, and the Department of Home Affairs should handle all questions about visas or migration. Ethical guidelines The ACS Code of Ethics assumes that Australian ICT professionals follow ethical guidelines. Skill assessments will be rejected if there is evidence of document fraud, plagiarism, or misrepresentation of skills or knowledge. In this scenario, the results will be marked as unsuitable, and if the applicant reapplies, they will be barred for a year, and the money will not be returned.

The ACS official website lists applicants’ current fees and payment assessment fees. You must apply, but you must pay using a credit card such as a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or PayPal.

The fees include the evaluation of eight assessment episodes per application. Qualifications or employment documentation might be the subject of assessment events. Making an Online Application

Before completing an ACS Skills Assessment, make sure you understand the Department of Home Affairs’ visa criteria or list the services of a registered Migration Agent (MARA) to assist you with your visa application. Your migrating skill evaluation is based on the documentation you submit through the Online Application Form. So, according to the ACS skills evaluation rules, list your documents.

  • Combine all pages into a single PDF document for each qualification and job application.

ACS Skill Assessment Processing Time

Application processing time is the total time assessors take to evaluate an applicant’s qualifications, skills, and experience. Assessments begin as soon as documents are uploaded into the RPL Form.   • Your employment episodes are assessed to see if they are closely related to your specified occupation.

Translation of documents

Your documents must be translated into English. In addition, the cracked and original documents must be submitted to ACS for Skills Assessment. When translating documents within Australia, the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters may be necessary (NAATI). However, documents translated outside of Australia must be done in accordance with the country’s justice or equivalent.
